Job Purpose:A PC, laptop, Server and Printer hardware engineer is required for our London office. Previous experience is essential. Based from home the right, smart , polite articulate person would be expected to attend various sites in London, and south east of England to represent the company at repairing hardware faults. Software knowledge is expected and understanding of different server technologies would be advantageous. Once up to speed the right candidate will be expected to actively take part in the out of hours rotas. Qualifications in Manufactures courses would be welcome as would A+. Travel in London is by train (but a car is provided) . Additional training on various equipment is offered and encouraged . The right candidate must live within the M25. There is a need to provide holiday cover to various site positions in London. Laptop, Car , tools and a phone is provided to carry out the required work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identifying faults and repairing computer equipment
- Installing customers' software and providing desk side support
- Provide a high level of customer care
- Completing all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Generating a high productivity rate.
- Taking part in the "out of hours" standby rota
- Liaising with senior engineers and management.
Skill Set Required:
The successful candidate will have:
- Full driving licence.
- 3-4 years previous experience of repairing/working with hardware is desirable.
- Knowledge of software is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Accommodating of carrying out 24/7 standby cover on rota basis.
- Must be able to work on own initiative.
