Training Officer
Location: Northfield, Birmingham
A vacancy exists within the Training department for a Training Officer working 40 hours per week. The role will be based at our Northfield office in Birmingham.
Salary: £18,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Duties: The Training Officer will be expected to deliver classroom and on-site training to customers in the use of the Dealer Management System (DMS) product. You will be involved in running internal employee development workshops. Other responsibilities will include developing and maintaining Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) courses, as well as user guide development and maintenance.
Training: The training process will require that you attend the courses you are planned to deliver at least three times, attend other DMS courses for background, and learn motor trade by attending internal non system courses and visiting dealerships. You will also deliver five teaching practices, learn and be tested on the specific application, deliver a role-play, and deliver your first course under supervision.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Capacity to build rapport, and interact with people at all levels
- Ability to solve problems quickly and thoroughly
- Reliable and able to work under pressure
- Strong team playing skills and the ability to work alone on own initiative
- Previous training experience is desirable, but not essential
- An interest in the motor trade
Special Conditions: There may be opportunities for offsite visits with this role. A driving licence is preferred.
